Job 7:7
Remember, O God, that my life is but a breath; my eyes will never see happiness again.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Dec. 26, BREATH (Job 7:7). The Bible reminds us that our life would be short, quick and temporary. It is just like a breath. At the other place, it is depicted as gas or grass. What is the meaning? Not only would be quick, but also:
1. Forgotten.
It would not be remembered anymore. Once it is gone, it is gone. Nobody remembers. It is hardly remembered by the loved ones.
2. Followed by noone.
It couldn’t be followed. Once it goes, nobody could follow.
3. Forever stay in the new place.
The departed could never come back again. He would be there, at the new place, forever. Whether he would be in heaven or in hell. He could not go anywhere. So, let’s use our time well. ASH.
