Shalom.sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Jan. 11, BULL (Lev. 4:3). To err is normal as a human being. Even, a priest can err too. Why? Because, we are limited, so it’s possible.for us to err. It doesn’t mean, it’s ok to err. Erring is never ok. Erring has to be solved as soon as possible. To solve an err, a priest has to offer a young bull. Why bull?
a. It’s expensive.
It implies the serious consequence of sin. If you sin, you have to pay with a bull. So, you won’t easily err. Take it for granted.
b. It is elaborative.
It is complicated, full of meticulous details to offer a young bull. It will occupy him to prepare everything. So, he won’t have time to err again. It will help him to reduce from sinning.
c. It is emancipative.
A sin has to be redeemed by blood. The blood would set him free. He couldn’t be charged again by anything. He has solved the sins.
d. It is educative.
It becomes the example to the people. The higher a person is, the more serious the consequence is. So, let’s guard our life more carefully. ASH.
