2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Sept. 23, CAPTIVE (II Cor. 10:5). Action comes from thinking. What we think will come into action. Paul, therefore, didn’t want to think anything else, except what would Jesus think. Paul had focused his thinking toward the work of God alone. How to accomplish God’s will better? How to make God’s work wider? It always needs a lot of effort to start a new ministry in a new place. It is never easy to convert 1 unbeliever for God. Have you ever tried it? Are you successful? Did you give up? Paul didn’t try. He did wholeheartedly right away after his conversion. He went into the full time ministry seriously. He offered his life fully and do nothing else except connected to the ministry. It was his calling to go into the ministry field. What about us? What is our calling? What is our life for? Let’s direct it for God’s work to make it even greater. (ASH)
