Numbers 9:13
But if anyone who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey fails to celebrate the Passover, they must be cut off from their people for not presenting the Lord’s offering at the appointed time. They will bear the consequences of their sin.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Feb. 12, CELEBRATE (Num. 9:13). I believe that one of the ways to teach the descendants of The Israelites to have a heart for God is by celebrating the festivals.
a. They have to celebrate.
Celebration is not a mere commemoration, meditation and devotion. They must make it special and complete with its tricks and treats.
b. They have to check the date.
They can’t celebrate too early or too late. It has to be on time with the date. Therefore, they have to have certain reminders to make them remember. Till today, The Israelites all over the world, remember the date of the festivals.
c. They have to conform with God.
The point of celebration is not the celebration per se. It is not about the food or other things. The point is about God. They have to remember that God has helped them abundantly. Otherwise, we will missed the point. So, let’s celebrate and remember what God has done for us. ASH.
