1 Samuel 10:6
The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, June 12, CHANGED (I Sam. 10:6). Yesterday, we meditate on the strength of Saul. He was the most handsome. He was the tallest. He was from a wealthy family. He was obedient. He was persistent and he was generous. But, today, in this chapter, we can read that all of those strength were not enough. Saul still needed:
a. The anointing.
The formality still needed to be done. He needed to be ordained, anointed and installed as the king of Israel.

b. The spirit of God.
Saul needed the supernatural power of the Spirit. Not the other spirit, but The Holy Spirit.

c. The change
He still needed to be changed to be better. To be more obedient. To be more humble. To be more patient. All that could not be given or acquired by human strength, were given to him. May The Lord also anoint and use us mightily in his will. ASH.
