Genesis 17:24
Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised,
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Oct. 26, CIRCUMCISE (Gen. 17:24). Circumcise was established long time ago by the very hand of God himself. It has been introduced and informed to Abraham by God himself. It is important as the sign of:
a. Belief.
Abraham did it before he saw anything, for example, his wife pregnant, he has a son from Sarah, he has become the father of many nations and so forth.
b. Obedience.
He did it right away at the same day. He didn’t postpone. He didn’t despise and underestimete it.
c. Belonging.
He did it as the sign that he belonged to God. He didn’t the same as other nations. He had to be different. He was under the dominion and possession of God. It would remind all the time the 3 of these. Have we been circumcised in heart? (ASH)
