Exodus 22:27
Because that cloak is the only covering your neighbor has. What else can they sleep in? When they cry out to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Dec. 20, COMPASSIONATE (Ex. 22:27). We can see by this word, compassionate, that God wants to make a relationship to us. He offers himself to be our friends, protector and caretaker. He doesn’t only give us commandments, prohibitions, punishments, threats even blessings. He gives himself to us. The proof of giving himself:
a. He gives warnings.
He gives warnings to the people, not to be carelessly jeopardize and threats others.

b. He gives watching.
He watches every person closely. The doers and the victims. Everyone is watched by God.

c. He gives winnings.
He considers everyone the same at 1 level. Although, financially and socially, a person may be poor and unimportant, but still he has the same right, to be protected by God. So, let’s honor others.
