Job 29:21
“People listened to me expectantly, waiting in silence for my counsel.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Jan. 17, COUNSEL (Job 29:21). Job in his suffering still could be a blessing for others. So, be a blessing not always had to be in good condition first. Even, in the worst condition, someone could be a blessing. He became a blessing not materially or medically. He became a blessing psychologically. He became a counselor to the others.
1. Counselor recklessly.
Someone might give reckless advice, opinions to others. He just said it without concerning the result or the outcome. He just said it without knowledge. He said without believe it even for himself.

2. Counselor theoretically.
He could say things theoretically, without ever experience his theories himself. He didn’t know whether his theories were right or not. He just thought they might work in the real life, in someone else’s life. He never tried it for himself. Perhaps, they sounded nice. But, actually they might be harmful.

3. Counselor experientially.
He could give his counseling experientially. He had undergone everything himself. He knew how it felt. He knew how to overcome it. He knew the purpose of it. He knew the meaning of it. So, when we experience suffering, it is the time, God wants to use us. ASH.
