Numbers 16:21
“Separate yourselves from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once.”
Numbers 16:22
But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out, “O God, the God who gives breath to all living things, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Feb. 19, CRIED OUT (Num. 16:21-22). Korah, Datan and Abiram rebelled against Moses and Aaron. Moses was angry toward them. Why? Because, Moses had no personal agenda. Moses didn’t gain anything from them. Moses was sincere to them and to the whole community. But in the midst of his anger, Moses didn’t forget to:
a. Pray for them.
Moses didn’t angry and hate them. Moses still prayed for them. Moses prayed behind them. Moses didn’t ignore or forsake them. Moses still cared for them.
b. Ask forgiveness.
Moses asked God for their forgiveness. Moses wanted God to forgive their rebelliousness.
c. Ask mercy for them.
Moses asked God to give them life. Moses stopped God from killing them. But God had different plan. God couldn’t be controlled by men. So, angry is normal, but pray for everybody is divine. ASH.
