Daily Dew for Our Soul (DDOS): “40 Days 40 Nights”

Exodus 24:18
Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Dec. 22, 40 DAYS 40 NIGHTS (Ex. 24:18). I am really amazed with the gift that God gave to Moses. He was showered with many miraculous and amazing experiences.
a. He was summoned by God personally to come to God.
No other people may approached God. He got the priviledge to come to God.

b. He saw God personally.
He didn’t describe clearly, how God was. The Bible stops with this information, that he saw God personally.

c. He got the tablet of the laws.
He got a special thing. Not only the words which he could write on books or else. Not he made the tablet of the laws. He got it from God.

d. He stayed on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights.
He didn’t meet with anybody else. What about his food and drink? What about taking a bath? What about daily human activities? Everything was changed in the presence of God. While Moses was with God, everything was different, new and exhilarating. ASH.
