Psalms 115:8
Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, May 25, DESTINY (Ps. 115:8). It is really scary to read the destiny of the unbelievers. They don’t believe in God. They trust not to The Lord. They on the other hand believe in the baals. They made and worship them. The destiny would be:
1. Forgotten.
Who would remember them today? For the modern people, the baals of the old times, have been forgotten. They have not remembered anymore. The names, the stories, the influences have been abandoned. Modern people tend to turn to the more powerful God. Thus the unbelievers would not be remembered anymore.

2. Destroyed.
Baals were made by dead materials. They of course would be broken and destroyed by time. Nobody would take care of them. Nobody would feed them. Nobody would renew them. They would be replaced with the new ones. Thus the same as the unbelievers, they would be replaced by the better ones. Remember the people in the time of Noah, so many people were forgotten and abandoned to perish.

3. Perish.
The scariest thing is that the unbelievers would perish. They have no future. No further life. No happy life. On the other hand, the believers would live forever happily together with God in heaven, enjoying all the wealth and treasures God has provided for them. ASH.
