Ezra 7:26
Whoever does not obey the law of your God and the law of the king must surely be punished by death, banishment, confiscation of property, or imprisonment.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Nov. 23, DISOBEY (Ezr. 7:26). The law of God is absolute. It needs and have to be obeyed. The law of the king is also absolute. It needs to be obeyed too. Because, obeying the king meaning obeying God. It doesn’t mean that to obey king as God. But to obey king because we obey God. If we don’t obey, than
1. Surely.
The punishment for the disobedience is sure. For every disobedience, there is punishment waiting. Punishment from every directions. For sure, the punishment from the government.
2. Swiftly.
For every disobedience, the punishment is imminent. It can come right away after the disobedience. The shape can be accidents, plaques, and so forth.
3. Severely.
The punishment would be severe, merciless and serious. The purpose is to impose justice and truth. Therefore, we have to be alwayd right in our way. ASH.
