Deuteronomy 11:20
“Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, March 22, DOORFRAMES (Deut. 11:22). I think this is what is missing in our life today. Why the religion seems so pale and fading today. I think that many of our children today are not very serious with religion. This simple thing is forgotten, writing on the doorframes. It has been gone. It has been disappear from our life today. Notice, how God wants us to be benefited from this habit.
a. Write it with the hands.
Writing helps the memory to remember more. God wants us to write it, not to put some verses stickers.
b. Write it to the doorframes and gates.
Not only 1 place, but many places. Not only on 1 doorframe, but to many doorframes. Not on the dark places, but on the bright places. Not on the unseen places, but on the first thing that we can not not see it, doorframes and gates. Not only on doorframes but gates too.
c. Write it to every house.
Not only at the house of 1 person, leader or Levites, but also on every house, layman or regular person. How serious God was. He meant the people to be serious too. ASH.
