Psalms 133:2
It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, June 12, DOWN (Ps. 133:2). Unity is very beautiful. But to bring unity into reality, the cost is very expensive. It is not a hand made gift. It is not something fallen from heaven. It is something that has to be done.
1. Down the order.
Unity has to be ready and patient. You just don’t have to be always number 1. You can be number 3, 4, … Just as the oil is always poured on the head first. Head is always first. If you are not the head, be patient. Don’t rush. Just follow the order. God would make you and already made you one according to his will and time.
2. Down the volume.
The volume of the oil already reduced. Perhaps, the beard and the neck don’t get as much as the head. No problem. Perhaps, the neck doesn’t get the oil as clean as what the head has, no problem. Although, the thing that we receive isn’t the same as what we expect, no problem.
3. Down the place.
Unity is not always the same place, same level, same position. Unity needs different place. Not always, everybody sits at the same place. Not always, everybody has the same position. We need to be grateful wherever we are. We need to honor who is higher than us. Let’s build unity. ASH.
