Genesis 40:15
I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Nov. 18, DUNGEON (Gen. 40:15). Dungeon is the darkest, coldest and deepest part of a prison. Joseph was sent and lived there for years. A man whom was accompanied by God? A man whom God said as successful? We have to renew our understanding of being successful and blessed. Not many people want to experience dungeon or valley of death. Only few people have ever experienced it. David walking through the valley of death. Paul was imprisoned in the dungeon too. But, in the dungeon, they:
a. They didn’t lose insanity.
They didn’t become crazy. They didn’t act out of control and endanger the other people.

b. They didn’t lose humanity (v 6).
They, especially Joseph, still cared for the other inmates, the chief cupbearer and chief baker. Joseph was proactive coming to both of them and asked them their problems.

c. They didn’t lose spirituality.
They still believed God. Their faith were even stronger day by day. The problems made them even greater. So, don’t lose faith. Always have hope in God. ASH.
