1 Samuel 12:17
Is it not wheat harvest now? I will call on the Lord to send thunder and rain. And you will realize what an evil thing you did in the eyes of the Lord when you asked for a king.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, June 14, EVIL PRAYER (I Sam. 12:17). Prayer is good. Yes, we can say whatever we want to God. But, the more mature we are, the better prayer we have to say to God. Because, otherwise, we would pray an evil prayer. What is an evil prayer? Evil prayer is
a. To harm others.
When we pray for other’s sickness, accidents, losses, we have prayed an evil prayer.

b. To satisfy our claims.
When we pray only for our need, we have prayed an evil prayer. We just don’t care about God’s will. All we care about is our own happiness.

c. To make us far from God.
When the more we pray, the more we are from God. We pray for jobs, but when we get the jobs, we never pray seriously, go to church anf so forth. Therefore, let’s pray consistently. The more we pray, the more we are spiritual and closer to God. ASH.
