Micah 3:5
This is what the Lord says: “As for the prophets who lead my people astray, they proclaim ‘peace’ if they have something to eat, but prepare to wage war against anyone who refuses to feed them
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Aug 6, EVIL (Micah 3:5). What do we remember about Micah? What do we know about him? Perhaps, most of us will directly say that Micah was the prophet of peace. I mean that he ministered at the time where everything is fine. Because, he prophesized about the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem (5:1). Perhaps, we think that Jesus came in the time where everything go well. Shockingly, that in fact, the people in the time of Micah were so evil. The leaders were so sinful. They oppressed their own people. They like to wage wars. They like to see blood shed, people died and cruelty done. It’s really far from what we know about peace. But Jesus still came at the time, to that kind of people. Jesus didn’t came to other nation. He didn’t postpone his coming. On the other hand, he came to bring peace, not to find peace. He is the peace maker, not the peace seeker. He wanted to give peace, not to get peace. He made sure until the peace happened. He never failed. Never afraid. Never careless. His mission was clear, to make the evil people became his children. So what is our mission? -ash
