Matthew 15:28
Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Aug. 18, FAITH (Mt. 15:28). Many times we misunderstand this story. We think that faith is the reason, the secret and the requirement of the healing. Well, it seems to be like that. Therefore, many people preach, teach and say that in order to experience miracle, then, we have to have a big strong faith. If that is so, then, it contradicts with the unconditional love of God. It is without conditions and requirements. It shows that God is picky. Nad the worse is that it shows that God is no difference than mere human, everything has a condition. Notice, that it is not big strong faith. It is great faith. Great because:
1. It is high spirited: Canaanite, woman, cry outloud (v 22).

2. It is humble: Came … ask mercy (v 22).

3. It is honest: She was honest to tell her condition of her daughter, whom was demon possessed and terribly sick (v 22).

4. It is honoring God’s will. It is without force, impoliteness and envy. Many times, we want to be answered fast and even better than what we ask. Many times, we envy toward other people’s luck. Many times, we just don’t surrender toward God’s will.
Let’s surrender to God’s will. His will is perfect, never late and always bring goodness. Let’s have a great faith. (ASH)
