Psalms 26:1
Vindicate me, LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD and have not faltered.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Feb. 25, FALTERED (Ps. 26:1). A sinner could be blameless before God. David was a sinner. He had done so many horrible sins before God. Perhaps, we feel not good when we remembered or mentioned his sins. But a sinner could be forgiven, started a new life and had a new status.
1. The tester was God.
David asked God to test and try him. David didn’t have an empty claim. He didn’t have only a feeling of holy. He was really holy. He dared to be tried by God himself.

2. The comparison was God.
The standard of comparison was not other people. David was not holy compared to other people. He wasn’t better compared to the people, families, even priests.

3. The proclaimer was God.
God didn’t only test him, but he really found him holy. He proclaimed it twice later in the book of Acts. He was like Job, proclaimed holy by God. David was proclaimed twice. Job 3 times. Do we want to be holy? ASH.
