Mark 3:11
Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Aug. 22, FELL DOWN (Mk. 3:11). Notice, how respectful the evil spirit before Jesus. He didn’t wait for anything or anybody. He didn’t need to be commanded nor to be reminded, that in front him was Jesus. He didn’t ask many questions. He directly did 2 things, fell down and confessed the truth. Physically, he fell down. Psychologically, he was confident and confessed, that Jesus was the Son of God. Outside and inside were in harmony. Whom we consider as evil could do such a wonderful thing like that? I mean, we consider Satan as evil, bad, scoundrel and so forth. But he had done proper things in front of Jesus. Actually, Satan was like that almost all the time. Once, he rebelled, he lost and suffered badly. He obeyed God eversince. Although, he knew no more possibility for him to be saved, he still did the right thing. How much more do we have to do in front of Jesus? Do we dare to be impolite? Do we dare to dishonor him? Do we dare to ask him to do things we like? Let’s honor and respect him more and more in our life. (ASH)
