Psalms 66:12
You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Apr. 6, FIRE (Ps. 66:12). Journey of life can be very heavy. Every person has his own story. Nobody lives without ever ezperiencing troubles. A person sees another person’s life journey as if he has an easier one. But actually, every person has his own great difficulties.
1. Valley of darkness.
David had to walk across the valley of darkness. To a place where he never go before. To an unknown place. To a place, where he had no friend. To a foreign and unfriendly place.
2. Arid wilderness.
He had to experience starvation and poverty. He could not have food to eat, water to drink. What a difficult picture. A chosen and anointed king had to experience things like that. He actually could have the best a man could get.
3. Flood and fire.
Last but not least, he had to undergo another horrible situations, crossing rivers and dangerous places. He had to cross places where he had not known about before. Where he had no tools before. Where he didn’t have any skill before. Very difficult, yet, David passed all of that. We have to pass them all too together with God. ASH.
