Psalms 139:7
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, June 18, FLEE (Ps. 139:7). From time to time, people are trying to go from the presence of God. They feel uncomfortable with God. They feel that their life are limited, cornered, judged, watched, restricted, evaluated by God.
1. Want to break the law.
They want to be free. They don’t like the law of God. The laws are too many and too heavy. Many laws seem impossible to be done in life. They just want to be free and enjoy life. They want to have a break from God’s laws.
2. Want to bounce the responsibility.
Many people want to go away from facing the result of their uncontrolled life. If we don’t control our life, we would face many horrible results. Wherever we go, we still have to face them. We would never be able to let go the results. All sins have their own results.
3. Want to bury the laws.
They want to be unseen by God. They just want to go to a place where the eyes of God can’t be there. Where would that place be? The eyes of God is too superb to be avoided. They see everything. Nothing is hidden. So, instead of running away from the presence of God, we better come clean before him. ASH.
