Psalms 31:12
I am forgotten as though I were dead; I have become like broken pottery.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Mar. 2, FORGOTTEN (Ps. 31:12). Being loved is really pleasing. Being admired, adored, needed is really an amazing feeling. When you are popular, liked, on the top position, you would feel happy. But on the other hand, if you are forgotten, it is really depressing.
1. Nobody loves.
He felt abandoned and forsaken. Nobody loved him. Nobody wanted to be his partners, listening to his sadness. Helping him with his problems.
2. Nobody respects.
After all the things that David did for the family and the people, he was forgotten. He had done so many many great things. Nobody could do similar or equal merit that he had done.
3. Nobody returns his merit.
Nobody did anything to return his merit to the country or to the people. Perhaps, making a statue, a coin or things to remember him. It was really an unpleasant feeling. But, David still had 1 person whom loved him, God. That was enough. ASH.
