2 Chronicles 34:14
While they were bringing out the money that had been taken into the temple of the Lord, Hilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the Lord that had been given through Moses.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Nov. 14, FOUND (II Chron. 34:14). Hilkiah found the Torah in the temple. What does it mean? It means that so far everything was done without the law, including the service. I could not imagine, how a service could be performed without reading or meditating the law. It means that so far the service and everything were done only as habits and rituals, nothing new and better. The king didn’t care. The priest didn’t care. Everybody. They thought that everything was running well without the law. Unfortunately, everything was fall behind and worse without the law.
1. The law brought repentance.
Someone doesn’t feel wrong in his own eyes or the people. No one knows the truth by himself. Once, he is faced with the real truth, he knows his sins. Josiah repented after he heard the reading of The Torah.

2. Torah brought renewal.
He threw the other things which were not from God. He committed to follow all God’s commands, decrees and statutes.

3. Torah brought reformation.
Josiah destroyed all the baals and idols. He cleaned all sins in the life of the people thoroughly. No filth was done by him and his people. What a great outcome. Therefore, always read and meditate the word of God. ASH.
