Judges 2:10
After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, May 10, GENERATION (Judg.2:10). Children are really like empty slates. Parents have to write on and shape them seriously to be what God wants them to be. Otherwise, Satan would use them.
a. Clean doesn’t mean good.
Yes they look clean or empty, but it doesn’t mean they are good. Little children look beautiful and adorable. But The Bible says that they were born in sin. If the parents don’t teach them well, they would be criminals. They don’t not need to be taught as criminals, they would be criminals automatically.
b. Clean doesn’t mean enough.
The little children wouldn’t be little all the time. They will grow. They need to be taught. They need to be shown how and why they have to love God. They need to see an example. They need to know the explanation.
c. Clean doesn’t mean fine.
The parents have the responsibility to teach the children. If the parents don’t teach them, they would be taught by the evil one. Just don’t be surprised if they will become evil. Just don’t blame other people, if they are evil. So let’s show good example to our children, how to be good children of God. ASH.
