2 Chronicles 7:1
When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.
2 Chronicles 7:2
The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord because the glory of the Lord filled it.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Oct. 18, GLORY (II Chron. 7:1-2). I just understand that glory is not something unseen, abstract, untouchable. It is actually something different. No wonder, the priests could not enter the temple.
1. Density.
It has some kind of a density, so that no wonder, the priest could not enter the temple. It stopped them. It was some kind of a closes door which prevent the priest to come closer.
2. Light.
It must have some kind of a light too, so that the people could see. They didn’t only feel it, but they could see it clearly.
3. Warm.
It must have some kind of warmth too. It was compatible with the fire which burned the burn offering. People could not come closer, because they were afraid to be burned or could not handle the temperature of the glory. What an amazing presence. May the glory of God present in our life. ASH.
