Matthew 27:33
They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”).

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Aug. 21, GOLGOTHA (Mt. 27:33). Only by mentioning this word, the creepy feeling suddenly fill our mind and heart. It’s known very well by everybody that this is the place of punishment for the cruelest criminal. This is the place where the biggest thug to be executed. It is the place where the word excruciating comes from. No criminal comes back home alive from this place. It is the place of death. Therefore, no one argues and denies that Jesus was really dead at that time, only by knowing that Jesus was brought to this place. But, unfortunately, there are still many people today argue and deny that Jesus was really dead. How can they think like this? How can they refute all the facts and witnesses of his crucifixion? Let’s humble ourselves that he died for our very sins, the denial, the stiff necked and the stubborness. Let’s receive his redemption and sacrificial love in order to give us life. (ASH)
