2 Kings 7:8
The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp, entered one of the tents and ate and drank. Then they took silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.

2 Kings 7:9
Then they said to each other, “What we’re doing is not right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let’s go at once and report this to the royal palace.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Aug. 25, GOOD NEWS (II Kg. 7:8-9). Good news is good news. Good news is God news. Whoever delivers it, still good news is a good news. Good news can’t be bad news although the deliverer is bad. Bad in delivering and so forth. Here, we can see that the deliverers of the good news were “unworthy.”
1. They were lepers.
They got a lethal disease at that time. The disease was so contagious. It was lethal. It usually brought death. No good medicine to heal them.

2. They were refused.
They were refused by the people. People were afraid of them. Nobody dared to come closer to them. They were considered better to die than to live. Therefore, they were forbidden to come into the city. They went to the Aramean tents.

3. They were selfish.
They stole and hid some things for themselves. But the good news moved their hearts. They went to the people whom had refused them to tell about it. And it became a great blessing for everybody. Do we a good news? If we have, we won’t be able to keep it for ourselves. ASH.
