Nehemiah 7:2
I put in charge of Jerusalem my brother Hanani, along with Hananiah the commander of the citadel, because he was a man of integrity and feared God more than most people do.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Dec. 3, HANANIAH (Neh. 7:2). Our eyes are caught when we read this special man. How can we don’t see this man too much so far? We take it for granted the presence of a great man in there, Hananiah.
1. Commander.
He was the commander of the city of Jerusalem. The city had been rebuilt very well, therefore, it was not called as a city only, but a citadel. It was built so strong, so that it could be used as a protector in war, a citadel. We know very well great general of Israel, such as Joshua, Joas, so forth. Let’s not forget Hananiah.

2. Coherence.
This is a very rare quality of a man, coherence, integrity. He was a trustworthy, reliable, consistence and strong.

3. Constant.
He was well prooved so far to be constant, loyal, faithful. He had been tested by time. He had passed the heavy job to rebuild the wall in 1 hand and always be alert in holding weapons in the other hand. What a great man. Let’s remember and imitate. ASH.
