Deuteronomy 21:23
You must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse. You must not desecrate the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Apr. 1, HANGING (Deut. 21:23). Sometimes, we call someone whom is poor as cursed. We consider poverty as being cursed. If not poverty, diseased, plagued, crippled, etc. Actually, the real cursed person is the person whom is hanged. Hanging is
a. The most painful punishment.
Excruciating, longest and painful suffering.
b. The most contemptible.
The crucifixion is really a great insult for the person, because he is hung naked and in front of the public on a high place.
c. The most rejected person.
Heaven and earth refuse him, so he is hanged. He is not in the sky. He is not on the ground either. Jesus was hung to substitute us. What have we done for him? ASH.
