1 Samuel 1:20
So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.”

1 Samuel 1:27
I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, June 3, HEARD (I Sam. 1:20, 27). Prayer is never in vain. God is the one who listens to every prayer. God always listens to prayer.
a. Hannah was a simple wife.
Who was Hannah? She was not a famous woman before. She just the wife of Elkanah. Nobody knew her. Even, Eli didn’t know her.

b. She was just a weak woman.
She was just a wife of Elkanah. She could not say anything, when her husband wanted to marry another woman. She could not say anything, when her rival provoked her day and night. She had no strength to stop her husband to marry another woman. She didn’t make a revenge to her rival.

c. She was just a word less woman.
She didn’t say too much. She just prayed to God in the heart. And God heard her. And the proof was Samuel, which meant The Lord listened to her prayer. Therefore, never stop praying. It is never in vain. ASH.
