1 Chronicles 14:10
So David inquired of God: “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?” The Lord answered him, “Go, I will deliver them into your hands.”

1 Chronicles 14:14
So David inquired of God again, and God answered him, “Do not go directly after them, but circle around them and attack them in front of the poplar trees.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Sept. 25, INQUIRE (I Chron. 14:10, 14). David had been so strong this time. He had everything. He had the throne. He had the troops. He had prepared the best materials for the temple. He had the treasures. He had built his palace. He had everything. But he was still very depended on God.
1. He prayed.
He didn’t want to walk alone. He didn’t want to walk based on his own will and decision.

2. He waited for the answer.
He waited for God’s answer. He didn’t only say the prayer and then he left. He opened his ears to listen to God. He listened God’s every word.

3. He obeyed.
He obeyed completely God’s answer. He didn’t reduce, change or add things. He just obeyed and obeyed. No question asked. No complain given. What a great man. Would we imitate him? ASH.
