Judges 7:20
The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, May 15, JAR (Judg. 7:20). A jar can be a powerful weapon in the hand of God. God doesn’t depend on the thing per se. He can use anything to accomplish his purpose. We can read the amazing story of the war between Gideon and The Midianites. The Midian was an experienced troop. They used real weapons. They were many in numbers. But they were defeated in seconds.
a. Daily jar.
Not special jar. Not gold jar. Not royal jar. Not customized jar. Just a regular jar.

b. Dull jar.
The jar was not sharpened, covered with iron or made special to kill. They just grabbed any jar at home. They just took any size of jars.

c. Dead jar.
The jar was not even alive. It was not a magic jar which could fly or move by itself. It was a regular jar which could be broken easily, once and could not return to its original shape automatically. But the person behind the jar whom was important. If God is behind the jar or us, God can do whatever he will. ASH.
