Exodus 28:20
The fourth row shall be topaz, onyx and jasper. Mount them in gold filigree settings.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Dec. 26, JASPER (Ex. 28:20). The people at the old days had found 12 kinds of precious stones. They already knew the prize of them. They also had used them as jewelries. Especially, The Egyptian, they had used the jems as many things: Collections, trade materials, accessories and so forth. When The Israelites came out from Egypt, they brought many of those jems. Then, some of them were presented to Aaron as God had commanded to be placed at the breast plate. What is the meaning:
a. Memorial.

b. Most important.
They were placed at the front body, at the chest as the symbol that they were most important. They were not less important, so that they were placed at the back.

c. Main focus.
People are the main focus of worship, offering. Everything is focused not on the rituals, offerings, blood and so forth. People are the reason of God to die. Just as the song said: We are the reason that he gave his life. Let’s not forget what is the most important in our worship. ASH.
