Exodus 27:21
In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Dec. 25, LAMP BURNING (Ex. 27:21). The lamp inside the tent of meeting had to be guarded in order that the lamp would always burning. Always burning. Always on. Therefore,
a. They had to prepare all needed material.
The oil, the wood, the fire, the equipments and everything.
b. They had to prepare the person to watch over it.
They have to organize somebody to look at certain times to make sure that the fire still on.
c. They had to prepare the heart to do the task regularly.
They had to understand the honor to guard the lamp. Not only doing the prestige job, offering the lamb, but also to.guard the lamp. They had to be ready to do everything for God. ASH.
