2 Chronicles 26:19
Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense, became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the Lord’s temple, leprosy broke out on his forehead.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Nov. 6, LEPER (II Chron. 26:19). Leper was a lethal disease of that time. It is like the pandemi of covid of this time, but even more. It can appear in anywhere. It can attack anybody. Here, Uzziah contracted leper. He got it in the temple.
1. Few people.
Although, no other people at the time, except the priests. Not everybody might enter into the temple. Uzziah was with the priests only.

2. Filtered place.
The people were not only few, but they also had been filtered, scanned. No disease might enter into the temple. In today’s word, they were temp checked, filled the application form, etc. In other words, they were all healthy.

c. Fire on the altar.
Usually, people around the fire would be better than not close to the fire. Uzziah was holding a censer. He was going to burn the incense at the time. He was close to the incense altar. The influence of the heat usually could give good impact. But, he got it exactly there. How aweful. How disgraceful. Let’s always fear on God. ASH.
