Judges 20:6
I took my concubine, cut her into pieces and sent one piece to each region of Israel’s inheritance, because they committed this lewd and outrageous act in Israel.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, May 28, LEWD (Judg. 20:6). Sin has no limit. If someone has done 1 sin, he would do another sin. The more he sins, the more horrible the sin is. Notice ,this Levite started by not honoring the sacredity of marriage. He took a concubine. And then, he didn’t teach the concubine well. And then, he liked to party, drinking wine and so forth. Forgot what he was. He was a Levite. How could he do it? Wasn’t he a Levite? And then the sin go on.
a. He cut the concubine into pieces.
He didn’t bury her properly. He didn’t realize his sins. He didn’t stop sinning at that point.
b. He sent the pieces to his fellow tribes.
This caused an anger. An anger toward the killer, whom were actually their own brothers.
c. He roused the anger of his fellow tribe.
He didn’t stop his brothers to take revenge. He didn’t stop the plan to kill The Benjamites. So, let’s be quickly realized our mistakes, before they cause more mistakes and sins. ASH.
