Exodus 18:24
Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he said.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Dec. 16, LISTEN TO (Ex. 18:24). Moses was a humble man. He could listen to his father in law’s advice. He must be showing good manners when he was at his father in law’s house, so that Jethro dared to give him advice. If he showed arrogant manners, Jethro wouldn’t dare to say a thing.
a. Although Moses had all the high educations in Egypt.
He was taught with the best knowledge, skill and philosophy.

b. Although Moses had the great calling from the burning bush.
God showed himself and called him specifically. Not many people had seen God as close as Moses.

c. Although Moses had seen and experienced all the great miracles in Egypt and in the journey.
He experienced 10 plagues, crossing dry red sea, pillar of cloud and fire, manna and quail, etc.

But, Moses listened to Jethro. He didn’t argue, refuse or underestimate the advice. He did it right away. Shall we learn from Moses’ humility? ASH.
