Exodus 6:12
But Moses said to the Lord, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips ?”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Dec. 4, LISTEN (Ex. 6:12). Moses was worried that the king of Egypt, Pharaoh, wouldn’t want to listen to him. He was worried that he would fail to do the tasks that God given to him. He was worried about the risks, if he faced Pharaoh and spoke wrong words. But, he forgot that it was not him, but God would be speaking through him. Moses was thingking about:
a. His skill.
His ability to speak fluently.
b. His appearance.
His outfit and apparel to appear before Pharaoh.
c. His authority.
He was nobody. He had no weapons. Only a staff. How could he protect his life, if he was attacked? Arrested? He focused on himself. He forgot about God. So, let’s remember when we walk with God, God is the one whom will protect and help us always. ASH.
