Genesis 28:9
So he went to Ishmael and married Mahalath, the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Ishmael son of Abraham, in addition to the wives he already had.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Nov. 6, MAHALATH (Gen. 28:9). Mahalath was the sister of Nebaioth, the daughter of Ishmael. Mahalath was not from the Israelite’s tribe. She was in Egypt. She was considered as an unbeliever. She was not in the circle of the family of Abraham. But Esau deliberately married her to displease his father, Isaac. How he had destroyed the marriage sacredity completely.
Destroyed marriage:
a. No information to the parents or families.
b. No dowry given to the bride.
c. No bethrotal, engagement and introduction.
d. No love, passion anf infatuation.
e. No church rituals, ceremonies and invocations of the name of God.
f. No parties, celebrations and mery dining.

How happy was the marriage? How it could be a memorable marriage? We should not copy that kind of marriage. ASH.
