Hosea 6:6
For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, July 30, MERCY (Hos. 6:6). It’s so very clear what we can do to please God. It’s God himself who tells us what pleases him. God doesn’t like dead sacrifice. God prefers live sacrifice, that is act of mercy. It’s a vain to give many sacrifices to God, but we live in hatred, envy, debauchery, etc. God prefers our money used or given to those in need more than used to but animals. God wants to use our life as a means of mercy toward those whom have hurt our heart, humiliate us, irritate us, insult us and make us lose many things. What is the benefit making long prayer and expensive sacrifice, but we keep the hot coal inside our heart toward others. Let’s give mercy. Let’s forgive. Let’s be gracious as God has been so gracious to us. -ash
