1 Chronicles 17:7
“Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

1 Chronicles 17:8
I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name like the names of the greatest men on earth.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Sept. 29, MORE AND MORE (I Chron. 17:7-8). David was prohibited to build the temple. We think that God doesn’t love him. We think that God certainly would throw him away, refuse him, ignore him. But, it was not like that. God still loved him the same as before. The proof of his love:
1. God still made him king.
God didn’t pull him out from the throne. God didn’t treat him like Saul. Saul disobeyed him once, God refused him. David continued to be king till the end of his life.

2. God still blessed him.
He was blessed abundantly with wisdom, intelligence, health, children, descendant, wealth, protection, safety, people, troop and so forth. God didn’t stop blessing him. God didn’t change his promises to David.

3. God still continued his kingdom.
God made the kingdom of Israel continued till long time. The descendants of David became kings. God didn’t choose other people outside of the David’s line. Really his love is amazing. Not only to David, but also to us. ASH.
