Psalms 105:34
He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, May 15, NUMBER (Ps. 105:34). People always obsessed by numbers. When they were young, they were obsessed with how many toys, cards, clothes, etc. When they were teenagers, they were obsessed with how many friends, gangs, etc, they have. When they were adults, they were obsessed with how much money they have. People like numbers. People are limited by numbers. But God is different.
1. God is beyond numbers.
God is not limited by numbers. He controls numbers. Numbers don’t control him. He doesn’t need numbers. He can live well without numbers. Numbers don’t affect him. He is not obsessed with numbers.
2. God comes into numbers.
God is the creator of numbers. But he can comes into the numbers. He is the unlimited becomes limited. He was born in the limit ofy numbers. Started by time. Limited by year, flesh, place, etc.
3. God works with numbers.
God chose his 12 disciples. He waited 3 days before he resurrect Lazarus. He came to the Samaritan woman at 12 o’clock. He asked Peter 3 times. Etc. God works well in numbers. God uses numbers to accomplish his purposes. But, he also can make things happen beyond numbers. Just like the grasshopper. God sent them without numbers. So, depend on God, not on numbers. ASH.
