Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Feb. 10, OFFERING (Num. 7:2-3, 11, 13-17). Leader is not only talking about giving orders, establishing orders or confirming order, but also giving examples. One point in giving example is a leader’s gift. The leader’s gift here, they are:
a. Good.
The offering must be blameless. No disabilities. No problems and no imperfection.
b. Brought.
The priest didn’t need to remind them to bring the offering. The priest just need to say it once, they obeyed. They brought the offering by themselves. No representatives. No associates. No subordinates.
c. Many.
We can see the offering of the leader was amazingly and numerously many. A leader couldn’t give only 1 offering. He had to give a lot. Thus, he had to work and save hard, so that he could give many offerings like that. Still dare to be a leader? ASH.
