Psalms 132:11
The LORD swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke: “One of your own descendants I will place on your throne.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, June 11, ONE (Ps. 132:11). God made a promise to David that one of his descendants would sit on the throne forever. This is a very great promise. No matter what David was going to do. No matter what happend in the David’s life. Not about David, but about God.
1. Fixed promise.
God made a fixed promise. Strong covenant. Eternal treaty. He never changes his promise. His promise is once for all. He keeps his promise based on his own existence.

2. Full and more promise.
God made a great promise, because his promise was beyond than human’s thinking. We think that the meaning of 1 is 1. But actually, the meaning of 1 is not 1, but more than 1. We know David is still very well known till today. He was so very respected and honored till today. What about Solomon? He is also respected, remembered by The Israelites, even by us till today. And there are other names of The Israelites kings. Such as Rehabeam and so forth.

3. Fair promise.
God didn’t only make David and his descendants sit on the throne, but also bless them greatly. God provides and preserved their life. God gave them riches anf wealth. God made them bountiful and successful. God’s promise really great. ASH.
