1 Samuel 7:14
The towns from Ekron to Gath that the Philistines had captured from Israel were restored to Israel, and Israel delivered the neighboring territory from the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, May 9, PEACE (I Sam. 7:14). We don’t like problems. Everybody likes smooth and successful life. But no success without sacrifice. No progress without strive. The same thing as our life. If we want to improve, we have to be brave and strong to face life’s problems. God wants us to grow and be better person. So that he allowed such problems in our life.
a. Big problem.
God allowed them to face big problems, the attack from The Phillistines. God didn’t let them live without problems. God didn’t spoil them. Their life were not problems free.
b. Big victory.
But more problems, more miracles. Bigger problems, bigger miracles. God helped them to win over The Phillistines by sending thunder. Only by a thunder, they were defeated.
c. Big peace.
After the problems, they were not only seeing miracles, but also blessings. The blessing was the harmony with The Amorites. What amazing blessing. They might have a peace relationship with the enemy. So, be strong in facing problems and see the miracles and blessings of God after the problems. ASH.
