Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Sept. 5, PIERCED (Jn. 19:34). Jesus died was really beyond our imagination. His death was more than words can describe. His pain was more than comparison. The Bible described the death quite detail. In this verse, we can see that Jesus was pierced. He was pierced from head to toe, from alive till after death. He was pierced by crown of thorns on his head, by the spiky lace on his back, by the nails on his hand and feet and by a spear on his side after his death. Why did he has to experienced such pain and wound? It looked like that his blood was drained to the last drop. The suffering was full. The shame was full, cause he died almost naked. The sadness was full, cause he was left by The Father. What more could he does to show his love? He has done everything more than complete. Yea, his love was and is always serious. Have we experienced his love? Do we still believe his love? (ASH)
