1 Chronicles 25:1
David, together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun for the ministry of prophesying, accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service:

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Oct. 7, PROPHESY (I Chron. 25:1). It is really amazing to know that ministry is not only about the present things, but also about the future. We can see here, that the ministry was not only about daily affair, fixed chores, routine duties, but also about foretelling things in the future. Prophesy was not talking only about preaching, but also foretelling. It means:
1. The prophesy was many.
Prophesies were not something strange to them. There were many people did this service. God spoke through them fluently.

2. The prophesy was often.
It was not happened only once. They delivered the prophesies oftenly. The people could see and be guided by those ministers.

3. The prophesy was fulfilled.
No unfulfilled prophesies. No failed prophesies. Every prophesy was fulfilled perfectly. I can sense the aura of majesty there. They must be amazed and awed by the power of God whom gave and fulfilled the prophesies.

4. The prophesy was relevant.
They had many prophesies which were connected with their questions and matters. May God also anoint his servants today with power to bring glory to him. ASH.
