Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Aug. 17, PROPHETS (I Kg. 18:4, 22). There are many kinds of prophets. They are all called as prophets. But they are not the same prophets. At least, there are 3 kinds of prophets:
1. The false prophets.
Usually, they were many. Here, there were 850 of them. They didn’t believe in God. They were deceiving people with lies. They worshipped other gods than God. They didn’t want to learn the truth. At least, actually, they could just continue the right orthodoxy. When they moved to the left or right, they got out from the right teachings.

2. Ordinary prophets.
There were 100 ordinary prophets. The prophets whom only following daily chores, regular activities, prepared duties, fixed rituals, known holidays, safe paths, etc.

3. Superordinary prophet.
The superordinary prophet usually is not too many. It is few. Notice, among all of that prophets, only 1 superordinary one, Elijah. The prophet whom was very brave, powerful, decisive. He dared to challenge the king. He dared to challenge the 850 peophets. He dared to challenge the whole people of Israel. He who was very close to God. He who wanted to glorify God. So let’s be close to God and be an extraordinary children of God. ASH.
