Job 15:14
“What are mortals, that they could be pure, or those born of woman, that they could be righteous?

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Jan 3, PURE (Job 15:14). There are many kinds of purity in connection with the holiness. Not with taste, ingredient or else. It doesn’t speak about water, air, a certain product or something. It talks about the heart.
1. Purity of men.
Men may become pure. They could become pure not by their own strength. Men need outside help to be pure. Men are pure because God made and considered them pure. It is called redemption, substitution, restoration. If God doesn’t consider them pure, no one can meet the standard of his purity.

2. Purity of angels.
Angels were created pure. They live in heaven. They serve God. But they may become unpure. They may fall in sin. If they fall in sin, God doesn’t redeem them. God would punish them right away.

3. Purity of God.
God’s purity is perfect and powerful. Nothing or nobody could make him unpure. He becomes the standard and judge of purity. He has the authority and power to punish the impure. So may this year, we all may be purer time to time.
